Edited by: Fletcher Jones on 17/01/2004 20:06:25 We at EVE Guardian have always been open to both news and story submissions. We are, of course, entirely IC (In Character) and IG (In Game) and thus ideally suited to RolePlay submissions of news or events or stories.
Unfortunately such submissions are often few and far between with distinct exceptions to certain keen correspondents such as Hardin of PIE Inc.
Outside of a very few individuals though there seems to be little or no sign of proactive attempts by any corporations or groups to have their story/life told.
We have, and are, proactively seeking people to help run a new "life" section as well as sponsoring events AND, as always, looking for news submissions.
The ultimate irony is that, despite some people claiming they have been "ignored", it seems that they themselves have done little or nothing towards telling their story through available outlets.
It is not, nor should it ever be, the required task of news reporters in EVE to uncover news or stories. You are allowed to TELL news people yourself and help write the stories and articles.
And, personally, I have no sympathy whatsoever from those who claim to be ignored when they could have taken steps to resolve that themselves, chose not too, and even ignore oppotunities to do so.
No doubts I will get the sack for posting this (despite this being SOLELY my won opinion and not representing EG) but I just cant find any sympathy for so-called "ignored RPers" when they have ignored others trying to help them.
Please also note that EG also still carries the article in question.
I would encourage those involed to use the opportunity to further RP and strengthen ongoing story elements, via myself or EG directly (letters to the Editor or submitted news )
Or you can just carry on whining here instead and further erode your "RP foundations" and lose sympathy with every post.

Edit: That came out a little bit too "targeted", "you" should be synonimous with "one" rather than *you* (if you follow me). It was supposed to be more of a "Hey look! There are ways to get news out yourself, than a stick across somebody's hand.
ah well.
